Colorpicker: Organize colours into subsets

A way to show different subsets of available colours within one Colorpicker popup - without the need to implement multiple colour pickers or some additional controls like a checkbox outside the picker.

That's a nice idea and in could be incorporated in some way. But I think I miss the context. Also, the devil lies in details. What does that mean "accessible"? I guess AA WCAG 2.1 compliance. By the way, this is something we should be by default, because we're ISO-compliant company. Then, there can be AAA compliancy which means less colours matching the criteria. But AAA doesn't work good for marking, when a colour has a meaning. It only puts emphasis on legibility. So, the context of what this colour is used for, matters a lot.

Example: for proposing a proper accessible colour set (however we define "accessible"), we'd have to know how this colour is being used. If we're picking here text colour against the white background (we're just assuming) then it's easy. But what if we are picking both text and background? Also, are we selecting anything by default? It would look different, depending on our first choice or the assumption we're making, but this assumption needs to be explained somehow.
